Training for Senior Service Providers

When choosing one business over another, 70% of hearing aid users felt having a hearing-loss-aware staff was important.

Before I became an audiologist, I spent 7 years working in restaurants and retail spaces. Today, my hard of hearing patients explain to me how difficult going out to eat, exercise class, travel, and basic customer service has become. If you let it, hearing loss will block their connection with you and access to your services.  Hearing Ally training will give your staff the tools they need to break down the wall created by hearing loss, increasing client satisfaction, revenue, and referrals.

On-site Hearing Ally training, specific to your business:

Improve client satisfaction and retention.

INCREASE REFERRAL RATES.

Improve rapport and communication with current and prospective clients.

Access to our on-call service with phone and email support.

Menu of training areas:

  1. Understand the basic mechanisms of adult onset hearing loss – getting a foundation in hearing loss can unlock some major communication problem solving so they can actually hear all of important things you say.
  2. Optimal phone and in-person communication with hard of hearing clients – how to avoid yelling, make communication flow better than ever, and leave clients feeling even more taken care of than before.
  3. Listening environment evaluation and troubleshooting at the training location – competing with background noise is a waste of your precious energy.
  4. Consultation on curriculum/classes for those with hearing loss.

*All businesses who receive training can sign up for our audiologist on-call service which allows staff to call or email us for support about specific issues and get a response within 24 hours.*

Trainings usually range from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. They are usually scheduled when staff turns over from one shift to another and can be broken in to two presentations for two small groups.

All completed trainings include a local Hearing Ally window sticker, letting your customers know you are more informed and accessible. On top of that, your business can be added to the list of Hearing Ally approved referrals we provide to the families and doctors.
