Training for Senior Living

Communities and Caretakers

Dramatically reduce your residents’ risk of fall, depression, social isolaation, cognitive stimulation, by addressing ONE thing – their hearing.

You have more impact on the current and future health of your residents than their doctors and families.  Hearing Ally can teach you how to prevent some of the most costly issues in your business in a very simple and direct way. Hearing Ally training not only impacts client quality of life, but also leads to increased client compliance and retention, referrals, employee satisfaction and retention, and much more.

On-site Hearing Ally training, customized to your business:

Improve client quality of life.

Increase satisfaction and retention of clients and employees.

Increase referral rates from within.

Menu of training goals:

  1. How to halt the hearing loss domino effect of increased risk of fall, social isolation, and depression for your clients – you have a great deal of power in improving quality of life for your clients.
  2. Understand the basic mechanisms of adult onset hearing loss – getting a foundation in hearing loss can unlock some major communication problem solving so they can actually hear all of the important things you say.
  3. Optimal phone and in-person communication with hard of hearing clients – how to avoid yelling, make communication flow better than ever, and leave clients feeling even more taken care of than before.
  4. Hearing aid troubleshooting and preventing hearing aid loss – hearing aids are expensive (up to $7800/pair), learn some easy ways to prevent loss/damage and maybe even fix them sometimes.
  5. Consultation on designing curriculum/classes with hard of hearing participants.

*All businesses who receive training can sign up for our audiologist on-call service that allows staff to call or email for support on a specific issue or patient need and get a response within 24 hours.*

Trainings typically last from 1-2 hours. They can be scheduled when staff turns over from one shift to another and can be broken in to two presentations for two small groups. All completed trainings include a local Hearing Ally window sticker, letting your customers know you are more informed and accessible. On top of that, your business can be added to the list of Hearing Ally approved referrals we provide to families and doctors.

Contact me to discuss your interests and specific needs so we can create the best training for your team. Pricing depends on the size of the group and length of the presentation, I’m happy to offer you a quote after discussing your needs.
